Our Story
In many parts of Africa, poverty is a daily reality, and it is often young girls who suffer the most facing limited access to education, early marriage, and economic dependence. "Over 70% of out-of-school youth in sub-Saharan Africa are girls." — UNESCO]
At EcoHERoes, we are changing that narrative. We are a women-led organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty among African girls through economic empowerment, climate change mitigation, and sustainable action. Our goal is simple yet powerful: to empower and equip young African girls with the knowledge, tools, and confidence they need to become transformative leaders in sustainability, innovation, and climate action.
Through entrepreneurial initiatives, climate education, and mentorship, we inspire girls to become proactive change-makers leading projects that not only uplift their communities but also protect and restore the environment. We believe in the untapped potential of every girl, and we invest in that potential to create ripple effects across families, communities, and nations.
